i’m not really a fan of koreanovelas but this one got me hooked last weekend when family and i had the chance to watch the first 12 episodes on DVD. first of all, the story itself is good. the choices of celebrities to portray the cute and intense characters is well done. personally, i love JUN PYO’s role being all-rich and powerful but an underdog to JAN DI because of his romantic feelings towards her. i think that’s where most of the funny scenes and scripts take place, aside from jan di’s weird and crazy family scenes, of course.
so there, i like BOYS OVER FLOWERS because it’s cute and filled with funny moments that you don’t witness or even experience everyday. it’s some sort of a good relief from all the everyday stress and complications so i recommend taking a peek at even one of its episodes and see if you’d be hooked too. anyway, i’ve watched a few episodes of the taiwanese version, METEOR GARDEN, which was also a hit and i think i like the korean version much better because it’s fast-paced. other korean productions / movies that are among my favorites are MY SASSY GIRL and WINDSTRUCK. i’m a big fan of koreans when it comes to romantic comedies so kudos!
P.S. maybe i’m also a big fan of stories with powerful women.
i don’t plurk much but i tweet often. there are hyper times when i tweet twice in a minute but there are times when i don’t tweet the whole day. depends on the mood.
the reason why i like twitter better than plurk is, it’s simple. for me, although many people enjoy it, the graphics and too many colors are distracting. it’s like friendster/myspace versus facebook. i’m more interested in what my followers and whom i following are tweeting or replying about, that’s it. i don’t like micro-blogging from the main site anyways. i use gadgets and apps embedded in gmail for example or running in my desktop. i like the fact that i can tweet my blog posts too.
for now i can say this after friendster lost its spark and myspace is passe. some people think that these social networking apps are non-sense but to me, they are my stress relievers . reason number 1, that’s where i reunite with my old buddies. i get to see what they look like now or what they’re up to after all these years. it’s fun to read interactions and stuff from them. it feels good to know that you’re not the only one who’s bored, broken-hearted, busy, stressed, sick, frantic, or whatever through status messages.
reason number 2, facebook is easy to use. you can leave comments or ratings without leaving the HOME page unlike other networking sites wherein you have to open each profile before you can do so. profile views or who’s viewing your profile aren’t really that important, right?
reason number 3, facebook is clean and light. i mean, currently i’m not seeing spam profiles with very naughty pictures and all kinds of unreal stuff. hope it stays the way it is.
ok so those are the general reasons why i like and use facebook. i had an account with it more than 3 years ago i think when it was still limited to accredited schools. glad they opened it up for everyone and let’s all hope it won’t slow down.
this is the BEST MUSIC VIDEO EVER MADE in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD. very creative, unique, and it’s like you’d want to watch it over and over again. i love the message of the song too! after watching this, i became an instant fan of LAVIE.
ladies and gentlemen, here’s HER MORNING ELEGANCE by OREN LAVIE.
HER MORNING ELEGANCE oren lavie
Sun been down for days A pretty flower in a vase A slipper by the fireplace A cello lying in it’s case
Soon she’s down the stairs Her morning elegance she wears The sound of water makes her dream Awoken by a cloud of steam She pours a daydream in a cup A spoon of sugar sweetens up
And She fights for her life As she puts on her coat And she fights for her life on the train She looks at the rain As it pours And she fights for her life As she goes in a store With a thought she has caught By a thread She pays for the bread And She goes… Nobody knows
Sun been down for days A winter melody she plays The thunder makes her contemplate She hears a noise behind the gate Perhaps a letter with a dove Perhaps a stranger she could love
And She fights for her life As she puts on her coat And she fights for her life on the train She looks at the rain As it pours And she fights for her life As she goes in a store With a thought she has caught By a thread She pays for the bread And She goes… Nobody knows
And She fights for her life As she puts on her coat And she fights for her life on the train She looks at the rain As it pours And she fights for her life Where people are pleasently strange And counting the change And She goes… Nobody knows
recently i came across this problem of being clueless on what domain to register. i think i wasted all afternoon just figuring it out because almost everything i’ve thought of were taken. why does it have to be very time-consuming, eh?
here are some DOMAIN NAME GENERATOR sites that you can check out which can probably save your from this kind of dilemma:
here are some quick tips on choosing a good domain for your website:
1. make it short. 2. avoid using dashes if possible. 3. pick one that is easy to pronounce. 4. add your website’s keyword niche to it. 5. choose a catchy name, something you wouldn’t be embarrassed to stick at the back of your truck, print on your shirt, etc.
